about the game
The Witcher Wild Hunt is a story-driven next-generation open-world role-playing game set in a visually stunning fantasy world filled with meaningful choices and impactful consequences.

Title: The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt Complete Edition
Genre: RPG

Play the new pretender to the fantasy RPG throne
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is an open world action role-playing game (RPG), which once again invites you to play as the Witcher, Geralt of Rivia. It's a vast, expansive adventure, set in a diverse, original, and unforgettable enchanting world.

200 hours of never-ending gameplay
In The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Geralt is looking for Cirilla - a young woman whom he trained and whom he loves like his own daughter. Her special powers have attracted the attention of the Wild Hunt, a ghostly group whose appearance is considered a harbinger of misfortune and death.
The plot of The Witcher 3 replaces the greatest RPGs of the last generation, Skyrim, Dragon Age and Bioware's Mass Effect series. It's a tale full of gray areas and immorality: there is no simple good and evil, just people alive and trying their best in difficult circumstances. The story takes you from the beginning and never lets you go, with every character, subplot, and detail that makes you think and reflect on the world you live in.

One of The Witcher 3's greatest assets is its open world. After five to seven hours in the tutorial area, you'll be free to explore two larger areas of the Skyrim map. Roaming this world gives you the feeling that the developer, CD Projekt RED, has taken pains to fill every nook and cranny with its rich history. The world feels alive. We didn't find any recycled content during our travels with Geralt.

We can say the same about the quantity and quality of secondary missions in the game. None of them feel pointless or difficult to complete. All of them have memorable moments and fun to play. Whether you're doing something seemingly simple like looking for a griffin, or looking for an old lady's pot, it's all great fun.

You feel involved in the missions because almost all the decisions you make seem to have an impact on the world and the game. Sometimes there are immediate consequences, but other times you won't see the effects of your actions until hours later. Even better, your choices aren't simply "good or bad" — they can have unintended consequences regardless of your intentions. Just like in real life.

CD Projekt RED promises 200 hours of gameplay in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Although we haven't finished the game 100%, it's easy to believe this claim.

Are you ready to dance? h3>
The combat system is awesome. Wizards are powerful humans, but they are not invulnerable. Their main advantage is their agility in combat, and as such, fighting is as much about dancing as it is about landing blows on your opponent. Button-flicking won't get you anywhere, and you have to get into the rhythm of battles to win.

Another ability of the Witcher is the use of potions strong>. Geralt can create potions from the ingredients she finds in the game, and using them wisely can be the difference between winning and losing a battle. Cleverly combining all of Geralt's abilities and being well prepared to win the fight is very helpful.

The controls are generally good, but simple exploration feels more complicated than light combat. Navigating Geralt's village is sometimes a little less nimble than it should be, which can be annoying. The interface is much improved over the previous games.

In terms of graphics, The Witcher 3 is excellent. The developers have given us a game that nicely represents the dirtiness behind the beauty of this world. While you will see some incredibly beautiful scenery, they all have details or imperfections that make the world look more realistic. Obviously, if you want to see the best the game has to offer, you'll need a PC with the recommended specs, but it looks impressive on less powerful hardware as well.

The voice acting and the sound is great. Geralt seems right: apathetic, cynical, sarcastic, and lonely. The support team also does a great job, with no "arrow in the knee" in sight.

The defining RPG of this generation... until now
In 2000, Baldur's Gate 2 came out and broke the mold of RPGs. This 2D game, with 200 hours of varied and original gameplay, also features side missions that sometimes rival the epic main campaign. It was great stuff, and I feared we'd never see anything like it again.

But The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt did just that, but with the gameplay, graphics, and sound the current generation has come to expect. The worst thing about this game is that we might have to wait another fifteen years before we see another RPG so rich and realizing.
