Game story:
The protagonists of Genshin Impact are Aether and Lumine: twins with superpowers that enable them to travel across different worlds. The journey takes them to a fictional world called Teyvat, which is ruled by the “elemental goddess.” After touring its various regions, it is time to bid farewell to it and head off to the next dimension. But as soon as they reached the exit, a witch who could be the protector of this region or the gods responsible for it blocked their way to prevent them from passing. The two heroes try to cross by force, but the witch blocks all their attacks. And the moment you choose who you will play with from the two, you seal the first one, hide it, and block the attack of your hero (or heroine) to seal your powers as well.

After an unknown amount of time has passed, you wake up on a remote seashore. And while you are hunting for something to eat, you are saving a magical creature from drowning by chance, named Paimon, who can speak, so tell her what happened to you. Meanwhile, you intend to embark on a journey to recover your sister (or brother, depending on your previous choice) and your powers, accompanied by this fairy. From here the game will start. Where do you start? And where are you going? And what will you do to get back what was stolen from you?

Our game takes the style of the open world, and since it is a type of live service (games in which content is added little by little and are not final from the beginning), new areas will come out to the public as they progress in updates.

The game has not been released for a long time, so only two regions are currently available, which are Mondstadt and Liyue, but the area of ​​each one of them is huge. The developers have varied the characteristics, ambiance and topography of each area to give it a unique character with a unique feeling that we experienced while moving around it.

According to the legend, the gods of the elements rule every land (we will refer to them as masters from now on), and each region represents an attribute or value that distinguishes this master, and its atmosphere embodies his view and the way he rules.

The first area that opens up to us is Mondstadt, which will be the beginning of the first chapter of the game. It represents the land of the wind element, and it is a city located in the midst of a picturesque lake surrounded by hills on all sides. It is a vast land ruled by the lord of the winds, Barbatos, who embodies freedom, which is the feeling we really felt when lounging around it. The area is dominated by the European character and culture in the Middle Ages, with the concept of chivalry and knights who are responsible for protecting the city and they are the ones we interact with the most.


We headed south to the west to find the Liyue area, which adopts the element of the earth. It is a city with a Chinese character and culture surrounded by mountainous areas in addition to a waterfront to add a variety of terrain. The region is ruled by the lord of the land who represents the contracts, so the city is thriving with trade, and when we wandered around, the first impression we had was the feeling that each side is associated with a specific thing or creature with a contract, we will realize what it is later with the progression in the story.


The game world is full of surprises and full of secrets waiting to be explored. There are many ancient ruins that contain hidden treasures that the player must solve its puzzle to win. Monsters are everywhere and the terrain is varied, from simple to bosses. Also, each side has its own teleportation point with various Domains that permeate the map and appear gradually with the progression in the game.


Exploration:
It is the beating heart of the game simply and takes the lion's share of it, since the world is open, we spent many hours wandering and discovering the various areas. And with every new domain that we entered, there were many things that could be done there that were very rewarding and that allowed us to get many rewards such as coins and equipment.

Killing a group of monsters, solving a certain puzzle or completing a hidden mission always leads to the opening of treasure chests that we found divided into four levels (indicated by the number of stars they hold): The first normal level throws us normal equipment with a white background. The second, which is the distinguished one, gave us premium equipment (two stars) in green. The third level, which is the precious, shows 3-star equipment in blue, and finally the fourth, which is the luxury chest, containing 4-star equipment, is in purple. As for the 5-star chests, which are legendary, they can only be obtained in advanced dungeons (from adventure level 40 and above), in addition to eliminating bosses (each of them has its own icon on the map and can only be encountered once a day or once a week for dragons). and wolf).

Many landmarks that, when discovered and interacted with, allowed us to teleport to them later, which saved us a lot of time. Including: teleportation points, which are columns distributed throughout the map, then the statues of the master, which are facilities that enable us to make offerings to him, which are materials that are often difficult to access, and we find them scattered here and there, as they give us prizes for presenting these statues The catacombs and places of trials also enable us to navigate to them through the map after exploring them, which requires a certain level of adventure for each of them, and finally the headquarters of the Adventurers' Guild, which opens the possibility of a quick return to both cities.

Stamina is our stamina, which allows us to perform many actions, such as running, climbing, and swimming, to overcome various obstacles. But it is not without a bottom, and we must beware of its penetration, as it may cause us to drown or fall often when we neglect to monitor it.


Characters in Genshin Impact:
As we progress through the gameplay, we are introduced to many characters who occupy certain positions in their society and who are playable. Our first impression is its design, which is very influenced by Japanese anime, which is characterized by cuteness. The first character we meet is the protagonist, who is one of the twins (either the brother, who is Eather, or the sister, who is Lumine). Then we got to know Paimon, who is the fairy who will accompany us along the journey, a very funny and entertaining creature. Let's also meet Amber, Kaeya and Lisa as we perform the main tasks to form our first quartet led by the main character.

We came across two free ones, but with conditions, and they are Barbara, upon reaching the adventure level 20 + Xiangling, which we obtained at the same condition, in addition to completing the third level of the Spyral Abyss.

The remaining characters we get only from the Wishes system, which is a paid system known in the world of mobile games as Gacha, which provides us with random rewards when activated (we can activate 1 or 10 at the same time). You can get it by buying different packages with real money or by collecting points called Primogems from the game through its various activities.


Characters are divided into 4 stars, which can be obtained easily, such as Fischl (an excellent archer, by the way) and the 5 stars (rare), which we only get one of after activating more than 60 Wishes, which is the little Klee. Many, many other characters can be unlocked, each one with the element you control (fire, ice, water, electricity, earth and wind). Its special movements are also divided into two: the first is the normal movement, and the second is the special movement that requires collecting energy through fighting to activate it. We also do not forget that each one has its own fighting style, so we find swordsmen and spearmen who specialize in close combat. And archers in remote combat and telecasters, who specialize in magic, whether offensive, medium-range or support (treatment and strengthening the attack of others).

Characters have many stats, such as attack and defense power, in addition to life points and the strength of their elements, which is what makes the character's strength. We refine it through upgrading and upgrading equipment. This process requires collecting many materials that we find here and there on certain monsters, catacombs or bosses.


Fighting:
The fighting style is smooth and fast, based on action and a sequence of attacks, in addition to combining them through the rapid switching between characters. Reminiscent of both The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Dragon Nest, with a variety of moves that follow the variety of characters and their techniques.

After our experience of confrontations in the game, we saw that each character has normal strikes and is the one who uses the weapon he carries in addition to a charged attack that requires a little concentration. Add to it the Dash, which enables us to avoid various attacks when running, which saved us and still does in many critical moments. We also found that each member of the squad has its own special attacks: the first is normal, using the element it controls, and the second is super, which releases the energy that was charged along the fight in the form of a large attack that causes huge damage to opponents.

We can control how much damage we inflict on enemies in Genshin Impact by focusing on their weak points, and that makes a big difference here. For example: a monster that uses the element of fire will be greatly affected when confronted with a character that controls water, so that we can save ourselves a lot of time and effort in defeating it, especially if it has a shield. We also find sensitive areas in the opponents' bodies that can be shot with arrows, such as the head, and we were really surprised by the amount of damage they inflict. Likewise, we found that monsters that control a certain element will be immune to it, and it will not be appropriate to play with an individual who has the same control against it, because he will not inflict a scratch on it except for the direct injuries that his weapon leaves without resorting to the elements.

The combination of attacks and their installation with each other is what makes the quality of combat and the real fun in it. Because the various elements interact with each other in real life, this idea is taken and embodied in the game as well. The best example is when activating a technique that uses water, it is always better to move after that to a character that uses electricity and fight with it, because we will inflict tons of losses on monsters because of this interaction, as we will electrocute everything that is wet with water and leave many times more than what the single attack does. And although these moments will not last long, they are capable of turning the tables on the opponents in an impressive show and killing the bosses in the shortest possible time if we master it instead of the regular attacks.

The game has most of the elements of a classic RPG. Characters, monsters and equipment are governed by a system of levels that are upgraded by collecting experience points and equipment. Everyone takes a specific role and goal and is subject to the laws of this world and his choices directly affect him. Now let's go over each aspect separately.

The most important thing in Genshin Impact is the Adventure Rank. It is the first thing to talk about in this suite, representing the level of the player's account as a whole apart from the levels of the characters we play with. It has a direct impact on everything, so the greater the level of adventure, the higher the level of monsters we meet. Just as each mission requires a certain level of adventure to open, including the main and secondary ones, the catacombs also require a certain level for each one, and that level must be reached first in order to be able to enter it. Most of what we do enables us to raise this meter, such as the various tasks and the purification of the catacombs, through the elimination of the various bosses who are located in certain places of the map. We also do not forget to complete certain objectives described in the book of the adventurer that will accompany us throughout the game and it is an interface that contains the various actions directed at us. By the Adventurers Guild, which is waiting for us to complete it.

The second thing that follows is the level of the world. By advancing further, we will reach a breaking point (the best example is adventure level 25 after completing its test), then the world will evolve to become more dangerous and many new dungeons and bosses will open. Also, the levels of monsters that we meet rise significantly, and this is something we greatly appreciated because it will restore the breath to the old areas that we visited, so we will not find ourselves fighting monsters that we surpass by a huge difference. The developers remedied this matter by raising this point.

Characters, weapons and equipment also have their own levels and they all follow the same system: certain materials must be collected to upgrade them, as we've seen before. This is by defeating a certain type of monster, clearing a crypt or finding a specific substance in nature. This development process guarantees us greater strength for the characters that appear during their fight directly through the numbers that we see rising on the blows.

The dialogues abound in the game spanning all stages of the main missions. But the choices that permeate it do not affect the course of events and came only to enrich the story and give us a sense of interaction with the characters. As for the missions, they are classic take: the main form that must be completed in order to progress in the game in general. With the missions that are entrusted to us by the characters that can be played, its aim here is to introduce the characters and shed light on their backgrounds and presence in the world they roam. As for the secondary missions, they have a simple plot that requires doing certain things to finish them, and their goal is to interact with the local population and help them overcome the difficulties they encounter.


Crafts are also present, as we were able to make weapons at the blacksmith by giving him the materials he requested. Cooking is easy, through which we were able to prepare very useful meals that provide healing or various enhancements, and finally alchemy, which provided us with the manufacture and development of various materials that we need to refine equipment. The system of these crafts is easy and intuitive once you try it.


The last thing we will mention here is the Resin system, which is a counter that limits the number of times we can fight bosses and finish the catacombs, so every day we can get a maximum of 120 points that renew every 16 hours, we will have to spend each time from these points To open treasure chests and get rewards, and this is of course after completing the boss or the maze (20 points for the basement, 40 for the two-day bosses and 60 for the two-weeks).
