The PlayStyles system improves each player's stats with special skills related to the abilities of their real-life counterparts. So, for example, Lionel Messi will have a “technical ball control” playing style, which is what the famous Argentine player is famous for. While German player Lena Oberdorf boasts the “Browser” feature, which means she can easily keep players off the ball and win possession using her physical presence.

There are also skills to increase speed, shoot the ball in a controlled time, and also increase shooting power. They are all skills that give players in their positions taken from reality, and the most important thing is “the presence of an element of logic and realism” in granting these advantages to players.

Players often have multiple play styles, but only world-class players also have PlayStyle Plus, a powerful signature move that also varies from player to player depending on their ability on the field. All of this adds variety to matches and makes you think a lot about how to take advantage of specific players.

As for the Evolutions system, it is a new feature in Ultimate Team mode that allows you to level up your players with various skills so that you do not rely so much on earning (or purchasing) better team members through packs. In fact the entire game seems to play around with RPG elements, which I think will be a core part of the series moving forward since players are used to endlessly leveling up and customizing their characters. Why not, EA can invest these elements in the football game as well.

Small additions to well-known game modes

EA has added some small things to the well-known game modes from its football titles, for example, the manager mode features a new aspect where you appoint coaches to make your team more efficient in the tactical vision such as playing on the wing or defence. But hiring coaches isn't the most exciting feature. Sure, you can improve your midfield with the right personnel, but between managing that and the stamina of your players every week, it's not enough to keep you interested for more than a season.

When I simulated matches, it was as if my team never cared about my tactics since I was a manager, which made the experience completely superficial and pointless for me.

Career mode also gets a little more fun when you upgrade your avatar with the new PlayStyles features, turning it into a really beautiful mode. But again, the experience doesn't do enough to hold the player's attention. Moving from FIFA to EA FC would have been a great opportunity to do more with these modes or bring back the story mode that was missing for nearly 5 years (last found in FIFA 2017).

The biggest change was and still is through the Ultimate Team mode, where it received the biggest changes, but with it came a significant increase in forcing the player to purchase from within the game using the Microtransactions system. Otherwise, you will have to spend hundreds of hours trying to open cards from the players you dream of adding to your team.

Volta mode remains a forgettable mode as it doesn't hold your attention very well. The game mode version is a messy and nasty football game with uneven powers. Playing futsal and street soccer is fun, but Volta doesn't recreate the control and pace of the real thing, instead opting for avatar customization and leveling that devolves into just being able to run fast and score regular goals with no advantages.

Small adjustments...but important!

Ball feel: When playing many matches in FC 24, I noticed a big difference in the ball’s feel compared to the previous part, as it became much smoother. For example, you can now catch a high ball with ease, especially when you play with a player like “Haaland,” who specializes in catching balls. This of course added more realism and fun to the game.

Animation: has become more flexible and realistic. If you watch Haaland on TV, you will notice how he jumps before swinging his arms, and runs very quickly.
