Hogwarts Legacy Synopsis & Explanation: With great power comes greater responsibilities

The Hogwarts Legacy game, which was a dream for many fans of the world of Harry Potter films, which was created, developed and authored by JK Rowling, has finally been released, and the films based on her writing have achieved giant successes at the global box office wherever they are. Hogwarts Legacy is a giant immersion game that spans It is nearly 30 hours old and has many details that make the story difficult to follow, especially for those who wear the magician’s mantle for the first time. Therefore, we here at Arab Gamers decided to provide our followers with an article summarizing and explaining the meanings of the whole story in a simple way for anyone who wants. Here is a summary and explanation of the Hogwarts Legacy story.

Hogwarts Legacy has two unrelated storylines that unfold as the action unfolds, one preceding the other by more than a century, so let's start where the story begins in the correct chronological order.

First: The actual true story begins years before the events of Hogwarts Legacy
The Hogwarts Legacy story begins in the 16th century, when percival rackham is chosen to be a fifth-year student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft, the first time this has happened in the school's long history.

Percival possessed a special ability that enabled him to sense the effects and remnants of a special kind of magic that at the time was called ancient magic. This type of magic is considered one of the types that great magicians fear dealing with due to its unknown origin and effects, but even so, that did not prevent Pervical Rackham from developing into one of the most skilled magicians in adapting and using this type of magic.

His ingenuity causes him to be appointed as one of the school's teachers, and he forms a close friendship with the school's other teachers, Charles Rookwood, Niamh Fitzgerald, and San Bakar. Together they strive to learn how to manipulate ancient magic and use it to change people's lives for the better.

One day, four friends decide to put an end to the drought in an English village near Hogwarts, and decide to use ancient magic and their new abilities to make it rain. On the other side of their standing were the child Isidora Morganach and her family, consisting of a father and a brother who was sick with the plague.

Years pass, and Isidora Morganach also enrolls in Hogwarts School to be the second student to enroll in the school from the fifth grade directly, without going through the previous rows, and we discover through one of the cinematic game clips that she also had the ability to use and feel the old magic, and it was a landing scene The rain in her village is one of the scenes that inspired her to learn magic and become one of the most skilled magicians of her generation. Percival Rakhman was able to make her a skilled witch within a short period of time, but the dream of changing the world remained in her mind, trying to use magic to make those around her happy and reform the world.

This ambition led Isidora to find a way to remove the grief and pain from her father's heart, who did not utter a word after her brother's death from his illness. Isidora thought that this was the best way to benefit humanity and prevent as many people as possible from feeling sad and depressed, but what she didn't know was how to act on the miraculous power that comes from bringing sadness out of the heart of the mourners?

Isidora brought it up to the Hogwarts teachers, led by Percival Rachman, and suggested that they implement it on a large scale, which they strongly opposed. Isidora did not care about the opinions of her teachers, and she went ahead with her plan until she was able to reach the method accurately, and the day of implementation came, so she gathered the teachers’ council, and she carried out the operation successfully.. Now Isidora’s father is without sorrows, but of course this angered the teachers because she disobeyed their directives for her to stop directly And she completed her plan without respecting their rejection of her. The council dissolved, distraught at the state Isidora had reached for her insolence and rebelliousness. She was then beginning to show warning signs of trouble.

Isidora continued to proceed with her plan, and it came to her to conduct her rituals on the residents of her village, and on the students of Hogwarts School, in conjunction with that Isidora had asked one of the skilled craftsmen of the Goblins race to build her a strong vessel that could withstand all this huge energy resulting from the removal of sorrows A huge number of people, which is what that skilled craftsman, Bragbor, left in his memoirs.

What the teacher's council feared actually happened, and she completed her steps to free those around her from their sorrows without calculating the consequences of doing so, and one day the teacher San Bakar discovered that Isidora's uncalculated experiments had caused her father to be stripped not only of grief, but of all his human feelings, And he became like an empty vessel, resembling a human only in his form, and what made matters worse was his knowledge that she began using these abilities on students at young ages.

Burned with panic and anxiety, San Bakar went to the teachers' council, and told them what he knew, so they all went to the place where Isidora was performing her rituals, and confronted her that she must stop immediately but unfortunately it was too late. Isidora used the energy of anger and sadness that she was extracting from her "lab rats" and this made her an evil version of herself who started it all with the intention of "fixing the world" and eradicating sadness completely.

Attempts to deter and neutralize Isidora fail peacefully, and she and the teachers enter into a direct confrontation in which they all gather against her, yet they fail to quell her evil. Isidora, which is already happening.

The four teachers turn to contact Brogbor and assign him the task of dividing the supernatural power left by Isidora into 4 parts, placing each of the four in a place under the name Repository and designing some tests that prevent excessive power from falling into evil hands, in order to make sure whoever finds those powers is worthy. obtain it.

Beginning of the Hogwarts Legacy story: From the middle of the events begins our experience
The game begins in the nineteenth century, about a century before the events of the movies - and books - and it begins with a Hogwarts school teacher taking one of the new students (you) to school, and on the way they meet with a representative of the Royal Ministry of Magic, only to discover that Professor Fig's wife has died And I left him a strange metal container that no one can open, even Professor Fig himself, but the hero of the game (you) can spot traces of ancient magic, and as soon as he touches the container, it opens, and we discover that there is a key inside it. Professor Fig's chariot is then attacked by a fierce dragon, killing the representative of the Ministry of Magic who was accompanying the professor and the student in the chariot. The hero survives to discover that he possesses a special ability that enables him to see remnants and traces of a mysterious type of magic he has never been exposed to before.

After tracing the traces of that ancient magic that began on the key, and continued on the way, we discover that this key is the key to a stash that no one has approached in the Gringotts magical bank since a long time, specifically the secret safe No. 12.

The safe contains split memories that you can view by placing it in a bowl of water called a pensive and submerging your head in it. Indeed, the hero and the professor do this to witness the beginning of the formation of the tests set by Percival Rakhman and the teachers' council to protect the source of magical powers from falling into evil hands, but the professor, of course, still does not know much about that.

The evil vault guards inform Ranrok about someone breaking into the vault, which he brings to it in search of answers, as to the location of the source of ultimate power he is looking for to use in his battle against the humans. Soon, the quick battle between you and Ranrok ends with escaping to Hogwarts to catch up with the classification ceremony, which will determine which house the player will belong to for the rest of the life of the game.

After that, life begins to take its usual course at school, in parallel with Professor Fig's search for more details about those secret powers that his wife died in order to study, with the help of the new young man (you), who has distinctive magical abilities.

With the passage of time and tracking of evidence one by one, the allies (the professor and the hero) reach the map room, which is a secret room located at the bottom of the Hogwarts school, through which they were able to speak face to face with the guards (Keepers), which is the name that the teachers call themselves as they are the guardians of those latent powers. .

The Allies tell the Rangers everything that's going on, and this forces them to seek the hero's help to finish their tests, seeking to find those latent superpowers, and protect them from Ranrok, whose whereabouts are not yet known. During that journey, the hero will have to pass 4 tests, one that bears the name of each teacher separately, without the intervention of Professor Vig.

Meanwhile, the hero gets acquainted with the goblin named Lodgok, who is Ranrok's brother who turned against him for his violent and boundless ways. Lodgok tries to make an agreement with the player to help him get closer to Ranrok in exchange for him giving us information about Ranrok's plan and what he intends to do by force if he finds it. We succeed in helping him get close to Ranrok, and later Lodgok finds the diary of the great-grandfather (Bragbor), which contains an exact mention of the locations of the 4 safes in which the power was divided and stored.

Ranrok allies himself with Victor Rockwood, one of the descendants of Charles Rockwood (a member of the group of guards), in order to enable him to enter his grandfather's house and dig under it in exchange for a share of the estate, which of course did not happen because Ranrok had a strong hatred of humans and did not respect his agreements with them and did not aspire to make them They possess any kind of force or match against him in his battle.

When Ranrok learns the location of the last treasury, he turns against Victor Rockwood, kills Lodgok in cold blood under the pretext of his betrayal of the cause of his race, and sets off towards the last treasury to reap the powers inherent in it, and use them in his war for the last time.

The player heads with Professor Fig to the location of the last safe to try to stop Ranrok with the help of the school's veteran teachers, which the allies eventually succeed in thanks to the hero's use of his supernatural abilities to use ancient magic, even after Ranrok used his hidden powers and helped him transform into a super dragon for a while, but Alas…Professor Fage pays with his life for the victory during this battle.

In the end, the story allows you to choose between imprisoning and protecting or using that power, so that its imprisonment is the happy and good end of the game, and the use of these powers is the bad end of the story, but without clear effects on the gameplay or even an explanation of the course of events after using the powers on yourself, so We can say that the choice, if it is not expanded upon in a new part or anecdotal addition, is not effective.

The moral of the story and the real meanings behind it:
Hogwarts Legacy is about wanting to change fates and play a role that humans are not meant to play, and here Isidora has undeservedly positioned herself as someone who would determine the fates of humans by making them forget their sorrows altogether.

The idea in itself may be transformative, to forget what makes you sad and the tragedies you went through, and for life to be without sadness or suffering, but on the other hand, those experiences are what shape the personality of every human being, including his positive aspects. Those sorrows are what made every person stronger and better and helped him develop, and it is also what gives us the characteristic of humanity, and an attempt to interfere with the nature of the human soul and how it works may result in disastrous results.

Although preaching is not a component of the Hogwarts Legacy story, the story clearly attempts to disavow the idea of magic being used to manipulate people and their being, claiming that such things are beyond the capabilities of even the most skilled of wizards.

In other aspects of the Hogwarts Legacy story, Sebastian Sallow's desire to heal his sister appears in a way that makes him commit an unfortunate act until his goal is achieved, which brings him to a natural conclusion, which is the failure to achieve what he aspired to, and the loss of his sister and causing her to hate him forever because of what happened. Between him and their uncle, who tried to stop him from using dark magic.

On the other side of the story, the events show how the hatred and persecution that Ranrok was subjected to made him a malevolent evil against the human race and this hatred led him to harm many even of his own kind until he reached his goal, which is the ultimate power.

Absolute power is also one of the most important elements that the story tries to avoid because it is not subject to censorship or control, and that it corrupts any human soul, even if the intention is to use it initially for good only.

Sheer power corrupted Ranrok into an evil criminal, just as it had done with Isidora but on the other hand the evil side was always there in the form of Lodgok one of the good guys of the race of Goblins, who decided not to fall on Ranrok's side because it is wrong for humans to be deceived by a single act of his One of the humans against Ranrok made him hate all humans.

In the end, this was the story of Hogwarts Legacy with its overlapping timelines with an explanation of some of the meanings included in the story, and we can say that there are a lot of possibilities that this end opens up for new parts or even additions to the story that we can get.

Hogwarts Legacy is one of the best games of the year, and many are already tipping it at the year-end Game Awards, so are you in favor? Tell us if you try it.

  3. Really been wanting to play this, haven’t watched or read the movies or books. But since this takes before I would love to see how it shapes what I think of the franchise.

  4. The castle is absolutely gorgeous in this game. Definite improvement over the dreary look of the castle from the movies.

  5. This is the first game that makes me want to watch the character creation part. I am simply wowed by the level of attention to detail. I have not seen a character's eyes move so realistically like that. You can always tell stuff from the details, and this says that the developers knew exactly what they were doing, and they did it with love. If there's a mac version, I'll get it in a heartbeat.

  6. I've seen some gameplay of this, but none have really held my attention like you do. Everyone either talks through all of the VA and action, or rushes through it. Thank you for letting games shine and giving us viewers a better experience.
