The combat in Strayed Lights is innovative thanks to the combination of two core mechanics that create a sense of suspense and excitement. The first mechanic is based on shuffle, inspired by Sekiro but more lenient. This mechanic encourages players to experience gameplay with impunity while rewarding players for their accuracy and success in combining dribbles, attacks, basic abilities, and dodges. The second mechanic is the color-matching system: you can switch between blue and orange and your enemies can do the same, since you have to match their color to successfully dodge. This leads to an increased sense of interaction and immersion in the atmosphere of the game through observation.

To create this unique combat system, we prioritized player feedback by inviting players to test the game starting from the prototype stage. Through iterations and discussions with players throughout the game's production, we were able to develop the combat system to its fullest potential, creating a challenging and immersive experience that players enjoyed.
